Funmi Akindejoye is a doctoral candidate at the Wicking Dementia Research
and Education Centre, University of Tasmania, Australia. She is also a Sen-
ior Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health at the GBHI. Her research
focuses on nature- and art-based health interventions, nature connection and
the environmental risk factors that impact brain health. She investigates how
natural environments and creative practices can promote well-being and cog-
nitive health, particularly for individuals with dementia and other neurologi-
cal conditions. Her work aims to develop innovative strategies that integrate
environmental and therapeutic approaches to enhance brain health across
diverse populations.
