Talia McIntosh is a Senior Exercise Physiologist with the Older Adults Liaison Service and Acting Professional Leader for Exercise Physiology at Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services. She holds a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of South Australia and maintains accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia. Talia has worked with consumers across the lifespan in diverse settings including physical rehabilitation, and mental health inpatient and community care. Since joining Queensland Health in 2023, she has contributed to workforce growth, service development initiatives, statewide projects and led a team of exercise physiologists while delivering clinical services to mental health consumers in the community. Talia is driven by a commitment to equitable healthcare—particularly for older adults— and is a passionate advocate for advancing the role of exercise physiologists and physical health care within mental health settings.
