Associate Professor Josefine Antoniades similarly works in Health Communication and Society at La Trobe University. Her research expertise is at the nexus of public health and psychology, and her work focuses on amplifying consumer voice and advancing equity in dementia prevention, care, and aged-care navigation for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. Grounded in lived experience and participatory co-design methodologies, her research is based on collaboration with CALD older people, families, and industry partners to produce culturally responsive, practice-ready outcomes. She leads MRFF- and Department of Health and Aged Care-funded programs tailored to CALD communities, including MindCare and MindCare4Women, and holds an NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellowship (EL1) focused on improving aged-care navigation and decision making for South Asian seniors. In 2024, she was inducted into the Victorian Multicultural Honour Roll.
