Dr Tamika Simpson has a PhD in sociology using Actor-Network Theory to explore the endless competence of workers. Tamika was raised by gardeners on a sheep and beef farm in Aotearoa. She is the Research Operations Manager for the University of Auckland Centre for Co-Created Ageing Research. Her current gardeners project is a collaboration with the expert resident gardeners and staff of Elizabeth Knox Home and Hospital in Tamaki Makaurau Auckland. Together they are co-creating a sustainable gardening system that makes the most of the Knox Grounds.
