Professor Denise Jepsen is an organisational psychologist and academic at Macquarie University Business School. Beyond her undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in organisational behaviour, human resource management, careers and research methods, Denise advises on strategic HR issues, especially in the aged care sector where she has a particular focus on employee attraction, retention and wellbeing. Denise reported on the sector’s response to single site employment practices introduced in the Covid-19 pandemic. Denise has won international awards for her research on employee attitudes, the psychological contract and careers. Her research includes ground-breaking work on evidence-based management, which aims to bridge the academic, scientific and scholarly worlds with management. Denise spent ten years as a Councillor of the Australian Human Resources Institute and is a member of their Research Advisory Panel. Denise is Past Chair of the Careers Division of the Academy of Management, USA.
