Dr. Jo-Aine Hang is a part-time research fellow at the WA Centre for Health and Ageing at the University of Western Australia. In the past two years, she has been involved in implementing and evaluating a novel falls prevention programme (TrEdEx) for the community home care older adults. Jo-Aine completed her PhD in 2022 at Curtin University, which evaluated the impact of facility-based transition care programs on older adults’ health and wellbeing identifying benefits, barriers and enablers for older adults undertaking these programs. Jo-Aine is also a part-time lecturer at The University of Notre Dame Australia teaching research and gerontology courses to the physiotherapy students. As a clinician, Jo-Aine works with older adults in the community to prevent fall and hospital admission.
