Dr Jennie Hewitt is a clinician, researcher, and educator with a passion for co-designing, and implementing positive ageing programs. She has been awarded: a National Lifetime Achievement Award for advocating for allied health services in aged care; The Morley Award, for the paper most likely to influence policy and practice from the Journal of the American Medical Directors Association; and a Global Trailblazer Award, from Ageing Asia. Dr Hewitt appeared as an expert witness for the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, providing evidence on best practice allied health, and has acted as Technical Advisor to the National Chief Allied Health Office. She works in Whiddon’s Research and Positive Ageing Hub, designing, testing, and implementing a broad scope of collaborative positive ageing trials.
