Dr. Desmond Graham is a geriatrician and the Chief Medical Officer at Geriatric Care Australia (GCA). He plays a key role in developing innovative models of care, strengthening clinical governance, and fostering multidisciplinary collaboration to improve aged care services across metropolitan, regional, and remote communities.

Dr. Graham began his career as an aged care carer and nursing student before transitioning to medicine. With experience in both the public and private sectors, he brings a well-rounded perspective to geriatric care. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Sydney, providing him with a strategic approach to healthcare delivery and system sustainability.

Passionate about education and ageing well, Dr. Graham hosts the ‘Healthy Ageing Podcast’, where he shares practical insights on staying active, independent, and engaged later in life. He has also led national and local-level initiatives, helping to expand and develop innovative geriatric service programs to ensure older Australians receive timely high-quality care, no matter where they live.
