Background: Established in 2022, the National Aged Care Medication Roundtable is a collaboration bringing together residential aged care (RAC) providers, policy experts, consumers and researchers, using data-driven approaches to improve medication use in RAC, underpinned by a Learning Health Systems model. In this symposium, co-design, implementation and evaluation of the Roundtable will be discussed, including developing medication quality indicators and tailored data presentation formats to facilitate benchmarking and evidence-based action; co-design and trialling an intervention bundle to improve antibiotic use in RAC; processes and outcomes determining the economic costs and feasibility of expansion and sustainability of the Roundtable. Aim: Share insights into the co-design, implementation and evaluation of an Aged Care Medication Roundtable. Activities planned: Linked presentations and interactive session offering perspectives on how routinely collected data can drive improvements in RAC through information sharing, co-design, and shared learning. 1. Introduction to symposium, aims and objectives of the National Aged Care Medication Roundtable. 2. Medication quality indicator benchmarking reports for quality improvement in RAC. 3. Information needs and data visualisation preferences in RAC. 4. Provider resources and costs of national mandatory quality indicator reporting. 5. Stakeholder priorities for improving medication use in RAC. 6. Smarter, Shorter, Safer: a behavioural intervention bundle to reduce antibiotic use in RAC. 7.
