Biography
Lory is a Principal Engineer in NTRO’s Asset Performance business group with over twenty years’ experience. He plays a lead role in support to Australian state and territory road agencies, local government and the private sector in the area of asset management. He is based in ARRB’s Queensland office, with a lead role in projects under the National Centre of Excellence program with the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), including on road deterioration under reduced maintenance, sprayed seal surfacing lives, residual risk and element funding, cross-program gap analysis, pavement drainage performance, and pavement engineering projects.
Lory is NTRO’s Asset System portfolio leader featuring the GoAsset system, NTRO’s dedicated pavement management system, with over 30+ local government members currently subscribing to the service. He has been focusing on tailoring NTRO services to local governments in recent years covering topics such as data collection and asset management planning, strategic road investment planning which include asset preservation and renewal of sealed and unsealed roads. His interstate work includes projects as improving decision making through use of the Traffic Speed Deflectometer (Western Australia), unsealed and sealed road practice and materials reviews (New South Wales and Victoria).
