Vanessa Chau is a nationally recognized infrastructure strategist and executive advisor with over 25 years of experience leading enterprise-wide transformation across both public and private sectors. Her career spans multimillion-dollar portfolios in municipal government, transit, and consulting, where she has consistently delivered sustainable outcomes through data-driven strategies, inclusive governance, and stakeholder engagement.
Vanessa is the founding architect of the City of Brampton’s Corporate Asset Management Office, where she implemented one of Canada’s first ISO 55000-aligned governance models—featured in Public Sector Digest as a national best practice. Her recent work with the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) earned her the Service Transformation Award, recognizing her leadership in modernizing asset management practices and embedding ESG principles into capital planning.
As a founding board member of Asset Management Ontario- Canada and Women in Asset Management North America (WiAM NA), Vanessa has helped shape policy and practice at the intersection of infrastructure, equity, and innovation.
