Aldónio Ferreira is an Associate Professor at Monash University and holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance from Lancaster University (2002). Aldónio has served as the Head of Department (Acting) of Accounting at the Monash Business School between 2023-2024 and is a co-founder and President of Grudis Accounting Research Network.

Aldónio's research spans several interconnected areas with a key focus on performance management issues in both for-profit and nonprofit organisations. His widely cited work has been published in journals such as Management Accounting Research, British Accounting Review, Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal, Accounting and Business Research, among others.
