Md. Harun Ur Rashid is currently pursuing PhD in Accounting and Finance at Edith Cowan University. His doctoral research, titled “Three Essays on Corporate Digitalisation: Financial Reporting Comparability, Compliance, and Benchmarking,” examines how digital transformation shapes financial reporting quality, comparability, and sustainability outcomes. Although he commenced his PhD on March 4, 2024, he is on track to complete the degree within a shortened timeframe. One of his doctoral papers are currently under R&R decision at A*-ranked journals.
Harun has an extensive publication record, with more than 25 articles in Scopus-indexed journals, including ABDC-ranked outlets, along with several internationally published book chapters. His research has appeared in leading journals such as Managerial Auditing Journal, Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal, Social Responsibility Journal, and International Review of Economics & Finance. His broader research interests include corporate governance, CSR, corporate digitalisation, climate finance, tax avoidance, and sustainability reporting.
Before commencing his PhD, he served as an Assistant Professor of Accounting at International Islamic University Chittagong in Bangladesh, accumulating over nine years of academic experience, supervising and teaching a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate accounting courses.
