Fawad Ahmad is a senior lecturer at Massey University New Zealand. His research interests include financial and sustainability reporting, auditing, corporate governance, and public sector with a particular focus on emerging economies and politically influenced business environments. Fawad’s work showcases how institutional, political, and governance factors shape financial reporting and assurance practices. Complementing his academic outputs, he has also co-authored commissioned reports for professional bodies such as CAANZ and the New Zealand Accounting Standards Board, reflecting his engagement with applied and policy-relevant research.
