Ghulam Muhammad Mustafa is a final-year PhD Candidate at the University of Wollongong. His research interests include corporate sustainability, climate-related disclosure, carbon reduction targets, and environmental accountability in capital markets.

At AFAANZ, Ghulam will present his study, “Carbon Reduction Pledges in the ASX 300: An Exploratory Analysis.” His research examines how leading Australian listed companies communicate and commit to carbon reduction targets, offering insights into the nature, scope, and transparency of corporate climate pledges. Through this work, he contributes to ongoing discussions on sustainability reporting, corporate accountability, and the role of disclosure in supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy.
