Biography
Dr. Yijun Liu is a Lecturer at the School of Finance, Capital University of Economics and Business. She received her Ph.D. from the School of Finance, Renmin University of China, and was previously a visiting scholar at King’s College London. She also has research experience at the CICC Research Institute and Bank of China International Finance group.
Her research interests lie primarily in law and finance, corporate governance, risk management, and sustainable finance. Her work emphasizes the integration of rigorous empirical methods with theory-driven inquiry, with a particular focus on institutional transformation, market transition, technological innovation, and cultural and social issues in emerging markets. She also seeks to incorporate insights from sociology and psychology to examine how formal institutions, informal norms, managerial cognition, and social contexts jointly shape corporate behaviour and financial decision-making.
Her research has been published in journals such as Corporate Governance: An International Review, Economic Modelling, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, and International Review of Economics & Finance. She has also presented her work at international conferences including the SWFA Conference, BAFA Conference, and CEA Conference.
