Dr Sohanur Rahman is a Lecturer in the School of Accountancy at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). He holds a PhD in Accounting from QUT and a Master of Business (Research) from RMIT University. His teaching portfolio includes Financial Accounting, Auditing & Assurance, Managerial Accounting, and International Accounting units.
Dr Rahman’s research lies at the intersection of financial accounting and corporate finance, with a particular emphasis on econometric analyses of corporate environmental sustainability, corporate political activism, and textual analysis of corporate reporting. His research has been published in leading journals, including the Journal of Business Finance & Accounting, Energy Economics, Economic Modelling, and the International Review of Financial Analysis.
Sohanur has received AFAANZ and other internal grants to support several research projects and has developed active research collaborations with scholars from both Australian and international institutions.
