Dr. Ella Xu is a Lecturer at Murdoch University Business School. Her research focuses on corporate governance, and ESG, with particular interests in greenwashing, environmental performance, AI disclosure, and family firm behaviour. Her work draws on agency theory, institutional theory, and socioemotional wealth perspectives, and has been published in journals such as the Journal of Cleaner Production, International Journal of Managerial Finance, and Economics & Politics.

Dr. Xu teaches business analytics and quantitative research methods, integrating rigorous empirical approaches with practical relevance. She is actively engaged in international research collaborations and supervises higher degree research students.
