Dr. Aitzaz Ahsan Alias Sarang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Finance, School of Business Studies, at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi, Pakistan. He holds a PhD in Finance and Corporate Governance from IAE Aix-Marseille University, France, and has international academic experience at EDHEC Business School, France. His research expertise spans Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance, and ESG & Sustainability. He is a Senior Fellow of Advance HE (UK) and a Principal Investigator on an HEC-funded project on sustainable finance and green market development in Pakistan (2026). Dr. Sarang has published in ABDC and ABS-ranked journals, and was recognised as a Wiley Top Cited Article (2025) in Corporate Governance: An International Review for his work on independent co-opted directors and firm environmental performance.
