Dr. Carly Moulang is an Associate Professor in Accounting at Monash Business School, with over 25 years of experience in higher education. She holds a PhD in Management Accounting and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology from Monash University. As a Fellow of Chartered Accountant (FCA) and CPA Australia (FCPA), Dr. Moulang integrates psychological research into accounting and finance disciplines, focusing on areas such as wellbeing, psychological capital, burnout, creativity, decision-making, whistleblowing, performance management, and superannuation research. She is experienced in conducting experimental, survey and qualitative research.
Her multidisciplinary research has been widely disseminated through various media, including television, documentaries, podcasts, radio interviews, and news articles. Dr. Moulang's work on gender equity and psychological safety in the workplace has contributed to understanding the challenges women face in professional environments. She has been recognized for her contributions to research on women accountants and wellbeing, receiving the Best Paper Award at the 2021 American Accounting Association (Diversity Section) Conference.
